This is the last newsletter I write as Principal of Katikati College.

We have a Teacher Only Day on Monday 24 July with Term 3 commencing for our students on Tuesday 25 July and this is Day 1 of our timetable.

On Tuesday 25th July we will be having a whole school powhiri to welcome our new principal, Mrs Carolyn Pentecost.

Bare Knuckled, our rock band including Tenneille Davies and Andrew Hannagan gained third place at the BOP Regional finals in the weekend and Andrew won the MAINZ Musicianship award. Congratulations to our outstanding musicians. 

Recently Katikati College took part in the EPro8 Challenge - the engineering and problem solving competition. Well, now it’s the adults turn!

Katikati Playcentre are holding a quiz night on Saturday 22nd July at Fairview Estate, Sharp Road, Katikati

Congratulations to Dakota Eade who recently competed in the New Zealand Secondary Schools Cross Country in Christchurch.

Katikati brings home the gold!

Baycourt Theatre are running workshops over the July holidays. These workshops are affiliated to the International Youth Silent Film Festival and open to anyone interested in learning more about film-making.

Katikati College Senior A Netball competed in the Bolton Cup tournament held in Thames  on Tuesday 20th June. 

Katikati College sent a big team of competitors to the BOP Zone Champs held at Waipuna Park on Wednesday 21st June.

On Tuesday 22 August the Science Roadshow is coming to Katikati College with an exciting programme especially for our Year 7 and 8 students.
