This year the ball was held on Friday 12th October. It was a carnival themed evening with games, prizes, photos, popcorn, candyfloss, food and dancing.

The Junior Boys basketball team was made up of eleven year 9 and 10 boys and was coached by senior students Micheal Tamarapa and Ed Winiana this year.

All three girls qualified for Nationals by hitting D grade weights in competition for their respective weight divisions.

Congratulations to Connor who was voted as the Student Representative for the Board of Trustees for a second 12 month term.

On Wednesday 12th September our Nga Toi, Whakairo and Te Reo classes travelled to Horowhenua College to take part in the Te Wiki o te Reo Maori Annual Tri-Series.

She will have oversight of years nine and ten, and will teach a year nine homeroom. Kathrine will take up her new position at the beginning of term four.

After months of planning, organising and fundraising, our senior Health and P.E students set off for their trip to Rotorua on Wednesday 12th of September.

Nominations closed at noon on Friday 7th September for the vacant parents’ representative position, and there was only one nomination, that of Tom Zimmerman, father of current students Massie(16) and Mikaere Harvey (14) and father of Maddi (9) and Thomas(3), and husband of Jodi.

The event was held in Whanganui on Thursday 6th September.

Being a rugby team the boys found the rules and strategy a little challenging but they picked up as the week went on.

This year the annual tournament was hosted by Netball Manawatu and held in Palmerston North.
