The Year 5 Drama group has been re-creating Charlie Chaplin Films

In Drama, the Year 5 hub has been learning how to use facial expressions and body language to communicate feelings, thoughts and ideas. This has involved lots of impromptu drama games to help build confidence.

Over the past 3 weeks, the students have been working in groups to create a Silent Film era chase scene. Their task was to create a chase scene that had:

• Up to 3 props.
• A slap, a kick, a shaking fist, a pointing finger and some mime.
• At least two transition/ title cards to help tell your story. 
• The same piece of music.

The students used an ipad to film and the Imovie app to edit.
