1. Learning Coach (teacher) - Mathematics and/or science
Full-time, fixed-term (covering extended leave) commencing ASAP, Term 3, 2024 to 18th July 2025

We are seeking a mathematics and statistics teacher to join our team and deliver the NZ Curriculum the way it was intended. We are constantly iterating our local curriculum delivery and seek innovative, adaptable, ‘can do’ thinkers who can collaborate within and across diverse curriculum teams.

Ideally you will need to visit and find out how things work to determine if our environment is right for you. If you want to teach beyond the walls of the ‘classroom’, connect learners to the world around them, inspire kids, push them, form genuine relationships and challenge your own and our learners’ mindsets - then get in touch with us.

Full-time, permanent commencing ASAP, Term 3, 2024.

Day-to-day Relievers & Short-term Cover:

Expressions of interest are always welcome from experienced or beginning teachers interested in day-to-day cover as a Learning Coach in our relief pool. Applicants must be a registered and certificated teacher with the Matatū Aotearoa (Teaching Council, New Zealand).

Join us in delivering the New Zealand Curriculum the way it was intended. We are a school that values hauora and recognises the vital nature of this within learning. We are constantly iterating our challenging and dynamic localised curriculum model and need innovative, adaptable, ‘can do’ thinkers who can collaborate within and across diverse teams.

Employment Strategy

Our strategy is to employ learning coaches (teachers). 

Learning coaches who are looking for leadership opportunities are welcome to apply and we will judge each applicant on their merits and potential contributions to the leadership philosophy of OJC.

During annual employment rounds, the leadership team select learning coaches who best fit the Ormiston Junior College values and principles. Both secondary and primary school teachers are always welcome to apply.
