The Young Enterprise Trust Pitch Day proudly supported by Polson Higgs was a pleasure for the Otago Chamber of Commerce to be involved with.
29 teams of budding entrepreneurs recently took part in the Polson Higgs Pitches, as part of the Young Enterprise Scheme.
Teams from Queens High School, Columba College, Otago Boys High School, Kings High School, Roxburgh Area School, South Otago High School and Otago Girls High School made pitches to a panel of judges. Otago Regional Coordinator for Young Enterprise Sarah Rickerby said students had five minutes to pitch their product to the judges and were scored against five criteria - business idea, sales and marketing, production and finance, innovation and pitch.
Thank you to all the students who presented and a special thanks to our judging panel;
- Courtney Adams, Polson Higgs
- Rachel Butler, Startup Dunedin
- Mark Berry, Kiwibank
- Ajay Parmar, Vodafone New Zealand
- David Frame, Craigs Investment Partners
We were impressed with the quality of the pitches from our budding entrepreneurs and look forward to the YES Market Day on 23 September.
