New Zealand Secondary Schools' Triathlon Championships

The NZSS Triathlon Championships were held recently.  Choppy water, wind and rain made it a tough day for racing. The individual event started early with high waves and wet, slippery tarmac, the afternoon's team races had to contend with the above plus heavy downpours of rain. Despite this, the boys managed fantastic results.

Individual U14 Boys (300m swim, 10km cycle, 3km run):

Charlie Hook 6th in a time of 38:39

Jacob Lean 11th in a time of 39:57

Individual U16 Boys (300m swim, 10km, cycle, 3km run):

Lucas Reed 4th in a time of 33:03

Zak Lee 22nd in a time of 40:11

Individual U19 Boys (750m swim, 18.5km Cycle, 5km run): 

Morgan Lee 12th in a time of 1:13.48

Great team racing saw both U14 and U16 Mixed tag relay teams (PNBHS/PNGHS) grab a podium place, both coming 2nd place.
