Welcome back to 2025

Welcome to Browns Bay School 2025. It is lovely to be back at school and seeing your children so excited. If you are new to Browns Bay School - welcome. You can find me at the Pick Up/Drop Off Zone most mornings and after school, so please come and say hello. When the roofing project is finished I will be back in my office next to Room 1, but for now I am working upstairs in the Administration Block.

As you can see it has been a busy summer at school. The pool has been repaired and repainted. It should not need any attention for the the next 5 years, so we are all looking forward to maximum use during that time.

The new courts look spectacular. I know that the children are going to love using them. Thank you to FOTS and everyone who contributed to the fundraising.

The roof replacement is well underway and I look forward to the block being re-opened in the next few weeks.

Meet your child's teacher

Next week you will have the opportunity to meet your child's teacher for 2025. It is a great opportunity to connect and to hear all the new things going on in 2025. Even if you have been before I really encourage you to come and support your child and learn about their school experiences.

The times for the sessions are:

• Year 1 - Wednesday 12th February - 6.00pm - 6.30pm

• Year 2 - Tuesday 11th February - 5.30pm - 6.00pm

• Year 3 - Thursday 13th February - 5.30pm - 6.00pm

• Year 4 - Wednesday 12th February 5.30pm - 6.00pm

• Year 5 - Thursday 13th February - 6.00pm - 6.30pm

• Year 6 - Thursday 13th February 6.00pm - 6.30pm

  *Followed by a camp meeting from 6.30pm - 7.00pm

School App - New in 2025

One of our aims for 2025 is to improve our communication with you. It is our aim to streamline communication so what you receive is timely, clear, translatable and easy to find if you need to go back and check information.

During Term 1 we will be extending the capacity of the Etap App so you will be able to find all the information you need in one place.

At the meet the teachers sessions I will share more information and there will be updates in the newsletters that will now be published weekly on a Wednesday.

Reduced Parking

While the roofing project is ongoing we have reduced parking for staff at school. This will have a knock on effect as staff will be taking up some parking places around school.

Please remember that the Pick Up/Drop Off Zone remains closed until 3pm. You are not able to park and wait before 3pm. A member of staff is always on duty until 3.10pm and children are never left to wait alone in the area so if you are a few minutes late, please don't worry.

Term 1 is a great time to walk to school. If you can help us out while parking is reduced we would really appreciate that.
