Principal Update
At the heart of our school vision is the commitment to “Building Leaders and Learners” who are prepared for the world beyond our gates. While much of that growth happens within the classroom, some of the most transformative lessons take place where there are no walls at all.
Our Outdoor Education programmes are designed to push students outside their comfort zones, fostering resilience, teamwork and problem-solving. Whether it’s navigating a trail or working together to set up a camp, these experiences are where "leadership" stops being a word and starts being a lived reality.
We see students who take part in these activities have a renewed sense of confidence and a deeper connection to their peers—qualities that stay with them long after the gear is packed away.
We are acutely aware that these programmes represent a significant financial commitment for our families. We want to be transparent: we think about these costs constantly. Behind the scenes, our staff work tirelessly to source the best value, apply for grants and keep overheads as manageable as possible.
While we cannot always control the rising costs of transport, gear and facilities, please know that we never take your investment for granted. We view these programmes as a partnership between the school and home to provide our children with opportunities they simply cannot get anywhere else.
A Step Towards Sustainability (and Savings!)
The recent hike in petrol prices is something we are all feeling at the pump. With the weather remaining manageable, this is a perfect time to reconsider the morning commute.
Walking to School isn’t just a great way to save on fuel; it’s a brilliant way for students to wake up their brains before the first bell rings. It reduces traffic congestion around our school gates, making the area safer for everyone, and gives our students a small, daily dose of the independence we strive to teach them.
If you live a bit further away, even "parking and walking" the last five minutes can make a difference. It’s a small change that benefits your wallet, our environment, and your child’s physical well-being.
Thank you for your ongoing support of our vision. We are proud to work alongside families who value the "whole child" approach to education.
Better Communication with Hero
We are thrilled with the transition to our new platform, Hero. Last week’s newsletter was viewed over 600 times, which is incredible engagement! We know life is busy and school information can be overwhelming, so we hope you are finding the shorter, more targeted messages on Hero helpful. Our data shows that most of you are not only reading these updates but are responding in record numbers. Thank you for the "teamwork" that makes our school communication so effective.
