Winter Hockey & Netball
Thank you for all the registrations for Term 2/3 Winter Hockey and Netball, which closed last week.
We are just working through all of the payments and registrations to start putting teams together.
Hockey
We are looking for a few more boys or girls in Year 3 and 4 as well as a boy in Year 5 or 6 - no experience required. Please see the information on the school website, under Hockey, and if your child is interested, please contact:sports@brownsbay.school.nz
Netball
We still have a few spaces in teams at Year 1, Year 3 and Year 5 for Saturday Kidzplay Netball.

We are also still looking for a few coaches. If anyone knows anyone interested in coaching or umpiring Netball, please make contact.
Super Cluster Tennis
A huge congratulations to our Super Cluster Tennis team who competed today against 6 other schools at the Campbell's Bay Tennis Centre. They all played so well in blustery conditions.
Special mention to the following students:
Nicholas 3rd in boys’ singles
Jessica 3rd in girls’ singles
Emmy/Amber 4th in girls’ doubles
What a great achievement! A huge thanks goes to the parents who transported and supported the players on the day.
Snowsports
The first Schools Challenger Cup event will take place on Tuesday, 17 March at Snowplanet.
Year 3-6 students who want to take part need to register via the Snowplanet website no later than Sunday 15 March:
Late entries may be accepted depending on event numbers; however, an additional late entry fee may apply.
We look forward to seeing your school represented at the event next week.

Open to all athletes
Slopestyle
One judged run for all competitors
Second judged run for the top athletes
Open to Years 3+
Students younger than Year 3 may participate only with prior approval. Please email Michelle@snowplanet.co.nz with evidence of terrain park ability.
Event Timeline
7:45am – Doors open (no on-snow warm-up available)
8:30am – Event briefing
8:45am – Competition begins
Approx. 2:00pm – Event concludes (at the latest)

World Famous at BBS
Skyla, Year 3 competed at the Follow Your Dream National Dance Competition in Adelaide in January during the holidays - She won the 5 & under championship as well as:
1st in Jazz solo
1st in Lyrical solo
1st in Classical solo
Highest point scorer
We are so proud of her achievement. Congratulations Skyla.
