As we begin Term 2 - here is our latest sporting news.

North Shore Swimming Competition:

On Tuesday 6th May we sent 9 talented swimmers to compete at the North Shore Swimming Meet at the Owen Glen Pools. A huge thank you to parents Natalie Yuan, Karen Ross and Bob Voss who supported these swimmers on the day. All students performed to the best of their ability against a very strong lineup of swimmers from 27 different schools.

School results:

BBS was 9th overall school out of the 27 schools that took part.

Year 4-6 Cross Country 2025

We already have over 100 Year 4-6s signed up for our school cross country taking place at Windsor Park on Wednesday 21st May. For those who have already registered, you will receive confirmation and have a KINDO payment loaded on Monday, 12th May.

From this event, we will be selecting students to represent our school at the Super Cluster event on the 12th June.

Sports Assembly

We will be holding a dedicated Sports Assembly in Term 3, Week 1, on Friday 18th July, in the morning, to celebrate the end of Semester 1 Basketball/Miniball and Splash Polo, along with other sporting achievements close to that time. If you are a coach or manager of one of these teams, please save that date and we look forward to trying something new for 2025.

World Famous in BBS- Taekwondo

During the last school holidays, Yuni participated in the Budo South Open Taekwondo Championship held in Tauranga. She was awarded a gold medal in the poomsae category.

We are very proud of her amazing achievement.

World Famous in BBS- Dance

Skyla recently competed in her very first Lyrical solo dance at the Australia Follow Your Dream Tauranga Regional Competition in the 5 yrs age group. We are delighted to say she gained First place with the highest score, Top 5 in her age group, and has qualified for the National competition in Australia.
