Just a reminder that we are holding a Year 3-6 Sports Assembly this Friday, starting at 10am. We will be recognising all our Winter Hockey and Netball teams, along with their coaches and managers, as well as one of our Splash Polo teams and Snow Sports.
Sports Photos:
The following Semester 2 / Term 3 & 4 school sports teams will be having their photos taken on Tuesday, 14th October, starting at 9am in the school hall:
Spring Netball Teams (starting at 9am)
Miniball Semester 2 (approx 9.45am)
Basketball Semester 2 (approx 10.20am)
Splash Polo Semester 2 (approx 11.20am)
Touch (approx 11.30am)
Summer Hockey (11.45)

It is essential that students wear their sports uniforms and sports shoes on this day.
Year 4-6 Netball girls need to ensure they have their Netball dress at school for photos.
We invite all coaches and managers to attend photos with their teams if possible. Please email sports@brownsbay.school.nz if you plan to attend, so photos are not taken without you.
WORLD FAMOUS IN BBS:
Artistic Swimming
Kora from Room Rm 24, Year 6 competed in the 2025 NZ National Artistic Swimming Championships and achieved some wonderful results.
She and her teammates won first place in the Dolphin Combo event. In addition, Kora placed first in Dolphin Figures U12 and was awarded the Highest Score Trophy across the entire Dolphin level. Well done Kora - We’re very proud of you!
Gymnastics
Gabriel from Room 19, Year 5, competed at the Gymnastics NZ Nationals during the first week of the holidays and got 1st place in Tumbling (age 9–10 group)!
He’s been training over 3 hours every single day, plus extra sessions leading up to the comp, so it’s been a lot of hard work—but this paid off with this outstanding achievement.
