Principal Update

Thank you to everyone who has booked a Parent/Teacher Conference. Our teachers really value the chance to learn more about your child. It can make a huge difference to your child’s school experience, so please take the time to book a Conference if you haven’t done that already.

You can book by visiting the School Interviews website linked here and using the code 7agnr.

It is going to be a busy few weeks for our teachers and students. Our Waterwise programme at Waiake Beach started today. It is an amazing opportunity that is unique to a small number of North Shore schools. We have Outdoor Education programmes for students in Year 1-3 this term, as well as our Year 6 camp.

All these experiences add to the rich education that students experience at Browns Bay School. Thank you to all of the volunteers from our community. We could not do it without you.

If you are new to our school, it would be wonderful to see you at our FOTS AGM on Monday. The meeting is in the school staffroom at 6.30pm. It is a great time to come and find out about the events planned for this year and meet the team. I look forward to seeing you there.

Anzac Day Civic Ceremony

Anzac Day Civic Ceremony

Each year, the school is invited to participate in the Anzac Day Civic Ceremony. We are looking for two school representatives to lay a wreath on behalf of the school at the Anzac Day Civic Ceremony in Browns Bay on Saturday 25 April. School representatives will need to be dressed in school uniform.

If you intend to be at this ceremony, and would like your child to be involved, could you please email Ms Hewitt on joh@brownsbay.school.nz, or contact the school office.

ESOL Reading Volunteers

We would like to thank a group of residents from The Sands, Browns Bay and Christine Anderson, who volunteer their time once a week to support our Reading programme. This is a valuable opportunity for our students.
