All you need to know about our upcoming events including Jingle, Silent Auction, Jingle Jars, Calendar Art orders and more!

Dates to Remember:

• NOW - Start making Jingle Jars with your children for us to sell at Jingle

• Thursday 14 November - Last Day to order Calendar Art (see below for a reminder of how to place your order)

• Thursday 05 December - Jingle (including Silent Auction and Raffles) - Starts 4pm with Children`s performances starting at 6pm

• Tuesday 10 December - Jingle (Rain Save Day)

Firstly, we need donations from our BBS Community for our Silent Auction! We would really like parents and caregivers to get behind the school and support us, so we would really appreciate donations of any kind. Donations could be vouchers for local businesses, holiday accommodation offers, products etc. In return the parent/business will get a thank you in the Browns Bay School newsletter, as well as on our Facebook page.

Secondly, the time has come to start collecting Jingle jars from families! (See flyer below for information on what to put in/not to put into the jars). If every child could please bring in at least one filled jar to school, and if you plan to bring siblings/other family members along who would like to buy a jar, please bring in additional jars so we have enough for everyone.

Thirdly, we will require volunteers on the night to help sell items. Please contact us via the FOTS email address (fots@my.brownsbay.school.nz), if you are able to offer any help. FYI this won't be required during the children`s performances, it is only during the first part of the evening. If you volunteer to help out on the night you will get VIP seating access for the children`s performances, so come and join our fun team.

Lastly, let's make this year`s Jingle our best yet! Bring your Eftpos card or cash, as there will be lots of yummy things to buy on the night. We have 4 food trucks attending - Double Dutch Fries, Karaage Fried Chicken, Woodfired Pizzas and an Ice Cream truck. Plus we will also have some delicious Korean and Chinese food on offer made by our amazing Korean and Chinese parents, as well as juice and candy floss!! Our awesome SKIDS team will be running some fun games on the field, we will have hampers to raffle, and of course our Silent Auction (run through the 32 Auctions website).

Calendar Art

This year’s Calendar Artwork is looking amazing – our kids have done such an amazing job and our wonderful teachers have provided some great inspiration for them to create their masterpieces.

Order forms came home last Monday with orders open until Thursday 14th November. Thank you for your support of this fundraiser for the Friends of the School – it is very much appreciated!
