Magic Sand Update

Over the weekend we received information that a second batch of sand potentially contained asbestos. We identified that we did have one batch of the sand that had been used in two of our Year 2 classes and potentially in the corridor. The information and advice we received was not clear so I decided to err on the side of caution. We have moved our Year 2 classes to some spare rooms and will continue to use these spaces until the results of the testing is complete.

We have been advised that the risk is very small, but with matters of health and safety we take our responsibilities very seriously. We will continue using the alternative rooms until we have clearance that everything is safe to use.

A huge thank you to all our students, teachers, and wider community for making Travelwise Twin Day such a success! It was wonderful to see so many creative outfits and smiling faces as we celebrated together. Your support helps us promote the importance of using sustainable transport—walking, biking, scootering, taking the bus, or park & walk—and making smart choices for our environment. Let’s keep up the great effort and continue to be Travelwise every day. Check out the fantastic photos in the Photo Gallery below!
