Access to Reading Eggs, Mathseeds, Reading Express & Mathletics
Dear Parent/Guardian,
Once again, for 2026, all of our students from Year 1-6 will have the use of Mathletics/Mathseeds as well as Reading Eggs/ Reading Eggspress to support their classroom Mathematics and Reading learning. These provide excellent reinforcement of concepts in both Maths and Reading.
These are web-based learning platforms that cover the Year 1 – 13 NZ Maths and Reading curricula. Subscribing to Mathletics/Mathseeds & Reading Eggs/ Reading Eggspress will entitle students to 24-hour web access both at home and in school, and in doing so will engage both teachers and parents in helping your child to improve their skills.
The programmes are monitored by your child’s class teacher and link with class Maths topics and Reading level. The teacher can place them in groups and set them courses appropriate to their level. They may also assign homework tasks from time to time, which your child will need to complete to continue with their choice of activities.
A personal subscription for access to these learning sites is over $150 a child a year.
For 2026, all of the Year 1 – 6 students are registered, and the cost for the whole school year is $26 for each programme. That is $52 for the year – Only $13 a Term for access to both extremely valuable learning platforms. These are an integral part of the classroom Maths and Reading programmes for our students.
We would appreciate a contribution of $52 towards the cost of these programmes. To make this manageable, these costs have been loaded into your child’s KINDO account and can be located in the section “Items For..”. Here, the fees can either be paid in full or paid off over the school year in instalments.
