Newsletter - @school eTap App

Here is everything you need to know about using the eTap App

If you have not yet signed into the @schoolapp (eTap app) you should have received an email with instructions on how to download and access the app. If you have not received the email we do not have the correct email on our data base or you have had already successfully logged in.

Please contact the office if you need to update your email address.

If you have accessed the app in the past you should not have received the email and you should be able to reset your password using your log in. If you can not remember your log in, or if you have any problems you can complete this form.

You can choose to log in on a webpage, or download the app onto your phone from whichever app store you use.

As we move into Term 2 the app will be the place to access school newsletters and communications. You will need to adjust your settings if you would like to continue to receive email alerts.

Here is everything you need to know:

Your Children

Mrs Shimmin has kindly allowed us to use her son Teddy's photo. When you open your app you should see your child or children if you have more than one child at school. You do not need a separate login for different children in the same family. If you cannot see siblings it will probably be because you used different email addresses when you enrolled them. Please contact the school office and they will be able to sort this for you.

If you click on the photo of your child you will be able to see the correct information. If your child does not have a photo yet it will be updated when Photolife have taken school photographs.

Icons

These are the icons that we are currently using and that you should be able to see for your child.

Attendance Reports

This shows you your child's attendance for the year. It is updated each day as the teachers complete the roll.

My Child

Under the My Child icon you can see lots of information you have shared with school and check it is all correct. This includes your contact details, who we should contact in emergencies, medical information you have shared and permissions you have given. It is a great way of checking that these are all up to date and correct.

If you notice any errors you can click the contact link to make a call to the office or send an email.

My Child

Calendar

This takes you to our Google calendar so you can see what events are planned. Some things are subject to change, but most school events are planned at least a term in advance.

Absence

This opens a simple form for you to complete. You can still contact the office in all the usual ways, but this form feeds straight into our systems and makes it much easier for teachers and office staff. We appreciate you using this as soon as possible.

Newsletters

Whole school newsletters will be stored in this icon. We will index what we think is important information so you can easily find what you need without having to look through previous newsletters.

The system only allows us to send to the whole school though this icon.

Reports

Under this icon you can see your child's school report from the end of 2024. This will be updated with their next scheduled report.

School Website

This takes you to the website homepage. We are working on updating the website. We have started with the Sports page. You can find all the information on sports on offer, how and when to sign up.

Messages

Because the newsletter function only has the capacity to send to all parents, information that is specific to a Year group will come through messages. This might include weekly newsletters from teams, camps or trip information.

You are not able to message back to the school through this icon.

Kindo

Kindo is still our one stop shop for payments and donations. This button takes you to the website login page. You may find it useful to use this shortcut.

School Contact

This is a quick link to the school telephone number and office email address.

Settings

You can change passwords and set a pin in your settings.

There is also an important setting if you are someone who would still like to receive information by email. As of Term 2, we will only publish communications on the app. We use the newsletter format wherever possible as this can be easily translated into multiple languages.

The screenshot below shows you where to tick if you still want to receive email alerts.
