Following the Mairehau Games earlier in the term, we selected athletes who excelled to earn themselves a spot to compete at the Canterbury Secondary Schools’ Athletic Championships.

These students were: Bella Profit, Erina Paterson, Amelia Yismaw Abohay, Tyler Selvam-Lyne, Jayde Osborne, Jordin Taylor, Israel Sila-Ki, Ari McKenzie and Jahvani Sila-Ki. All students competed in their respective events and represented the school with pride.

We want to give a special shoutout to Tyler for his impressive performance at the Secondary Schools’ South Island Athletics meet held in Timaru. Tyler excelled, securing a remarkable 2nd place finish overall and achieving a personal best jump of 1.66m in the High Jump event.
