Skills: NCEA Level 2 Earth and Space Science (ESS) in New Zealand provides students with a deeper understanding of our planet and its place in the universe. It builds upon foundational science knowledge, focusing on the dynamic interactions within Earth systems and beyond.

Where does it lead? This subject provides a solid academic foundation for higher qualifications that are important for understanding and managing our planet and beyond. It can lead to career paths in Earth Science and potentially the growing Space Science industry, which is developing both globally and here in Ōtautahi | Christchurch.

Vocational Pathways: Up to 8 credits across Construction and Infrastructure, Service Industries and up to 4 credits across Social and Community Services.
