Sport
Sport in Term 1 at WGC has started off strongly, with increased team numbers in floorball, volleyball, futsal and tennis.
The WGC Dragonboating team had a great start to this season with three out of three wins in the Wellington Fun Day in the weekend. They are hoping to repeat the fabulous winning efforts of last year’s team at the Dragonboating Festival on Sunday 11 March. Please come down to the lagoon to support the team.
WGC rowing had huge success recently at the KR2 regatta, when we came home with a 2nd place in the U15 Octopule, 2nd in the U18 4X+, a 4th in the U16 Single (Alice Fahey) and many more. Overall WGC had 10 A finals, 6 B finals and 2 C finals. Congratulations to all rowers for qualifying for Maadi Cup later in March, including this season's Novices!!
