Kapa Haka Performance at Parliament
Te Haeata Awatea, the Wellington Girls' College and Wellington College combined Kapa Haka group, performed at the launch of the Vodafone Foundations Thriving Rangatahi Population Explorer App at Parliament Tuesday evening.
Students enjoyed being able to support the launch and speak to the people who developed the app, Members of Parliament and invited guests. To find out more about the tool, click here to check out their website.
It was a great fundraising opportunity for our rōpū who are working hard preparing for our regional competition at the end of Term 2. If you know of any organisation who would like to work with Te Haeata Awatea and help them with their fundraising please get in touch with the school via Tina Mihaere-Rees (Teacher in Charge of Kapa Haka) or Anna Wilson (Deputy Principal)
