On Saturday 8 August, 18 students participated in the annual Goethe Oral Competition, held at Victoria University. They presented a prepared reading and held a conversation in German.

After two postponements, the prizegiving was finally held on 21 October, where Samantha Romijn spoke about her experience in the International German Olympiad, and Hana Aboustait presented her prepared reading.
