PRIZES, AWARDS and CERTIFICATES

Wellington Girls' College - May 31, 2024

SMT - Ave Wilson(Prizes) + Laura Calder (Prize Giving Event Management)

At Wellington Girls’ College we share a commitment to:

  • the promotion of a school-wide culture that encourages engagement, well-being, respect, inclusion, motivation and learning for all students

  • the promotion of a culture of support, trust, challenge and ongoing improvement

  • a culture in which students can be openly and justifiably proud of their own achievements and take equal pride in the achievements of other members of the College community.

As part of the process of achieving these goals we endeavour to appropriately recognise and celebrate student achievement in all its forms, that is, within the context of learning in the curriculum disciplines; within the context of the wider life of the College; and in terms of the achievements of our students in activities outside the immediate context of school.

The Sports and Cultural Awards are held early Term 4 each year.

Prizegiving is in early November. Staff will be notified of the venue and programme. Hired gowns for prize giving will be supplied for teachers at no cost to the individual.
