Rocket Lab Scholarship

Interested in studying at university, but need a little help to get there? Applications are now open for Rocket Lab’s 2024 Scholarships.

We’ll cover up to $20,000 of study fees for one student and offer the opportunity to be paired with a Rocket Lab mentor, giving them a rare chance for one-on-one experience with a world-leading space and engineering expert. Students who whakapapa to iwi connected to Rocket Lab’s launch site location in Mahia, and/or have a strong connection to Mahia or the Wairoa district, are prioritised and strongly encouraged to apply.

Applications are also open for the Rocket Lab Women’s Scholarship, a scholarship created to encourage gender diversity in the space industry’s future leaders.

Ki Uta Ki Tai – Aspire Scholarship

This scholarship is reflective of AUT’s belief that no student should have to compromise their academic aspirations due to financial difficulties. The scholarship comprises: 

• $4,000 toward tuition fees in both Year 1 and Year 2 

• $25 per week credit on their AUT Wallet 

• Free AUT gym membership 

• Dedicated course counselling to ease transition 

• Library workshops including academic writing, APA referencing, and time management 

• Regular career and employability sessions, financial support, money coaching and mental health counselling
