Last month Miro Kennett attended BLAKE Inspire. BLAKE Inspire is an environmental leadership programme for students from around NZ in years 11-13 run by the Sir Peter Blake Trust and the ministry for the environment.

Miro attended one in Auckland with 31 other students. Over the week they learnt about the environment and the challenges it faces. Miro visited inspiring places, had presentations from scientists and workshops with the ministry for the environment, and met other like minded youth. At the end of the week everyone presented “action plans” on how they will take what they have learnt over the week and create change within their community.
