For the past three weeks, our Year 10 students have been venturing off, two wānanga classes at a time, to the Marlborough Sounds as part of our EOTC programme.

Based at Mistletoe Bay in the Queen Charlotte Sound, students have pushed themselves physically and mentally,  tramping, sea kayaking and mountain biking. For many, this is their first experience of sleeping in a tent in the great outdoors, and therefore comfort zones have been breached, and learning experiences aplenty.  For the most part weather has been kind, and students have been coming back weary but with good memories and a sense of accomplishment, having survived three full days without their phones!
