Te Haeata Awatea Shines at Regional Kapa Haka Competition
Our combined kapa haka group, Te Haeata Awatea — made up of students from Wellington Girls’ College and Wellington College — took the stage at the Regional Secondary School Kapa Haka Competition.
Their performance was rerehua katoa — absolutely stunning — showcasing the depth of their talent, dedication, and pride in te ao Māori. The group’s strength, unity, and passion were evident in every waiata and haka, leaving a lasting impression on all who witnessed it.
Ka rawe whānau mā! We are incredibly proud of our students for representing our kura with such mana and excellence.
Let’s continue to celebrate and support our kapa haka rōpū as they carry the wairua of our school and culture forward.
