Parents' Association
We have had a busy start to Term 2 with a number of functions being supported by the Parents' Association.
Winter Warmer
Last week we held a Winter Warmer Soup lunch for WGC staff. This was the brainchild of Angela Foster and it was a lovely way to start the week. The staff really enjoyed time just chatting with each other and sharing delicious food. We would like to thank all of the parents and students who made soup and baking, or helped with the set up and clearing up, we could not have done it without you.
A huge thank you also to Katy Pearce from Bordeaux Bakery for the donating of delicious baguettes, they were a huge hit and greatly appreciated.
Sleep Seminar
We hosted sleep expert, Bronwyn Sweeney to school last Tuesday. Bronwyn shared tips and advice on how to promote sleep health. It was an extremely informative evening with a fabulous question and answer section at the end.
Second Hand Uniform Sale
Our next second hand uniform sale is on Friday 2 July from 3:40pm until 4:30pm in the Atrium. This is a wonderful opportunity to buy good quality used clothing, at great prices.
Ongoing sale help
We are look for people to help out with admin and organisation of the sales on an ongoing basis. What you would be doing would depend on your interests and availability but the sorts of activities you could get involved with could be:
- running some working bees
- being responsible for either the floor of the checkouts on sale days
- helping out with processing submitted items prior to sales
- helping process uniform sales and reimbursements after sales
- washing uniform
- mending uniform
If you are interested in helping out on an ongoing basis, please email us on uniforms@wgc.school.nz or contact Rachel Brown on 022 043 1181.
