With our timetable change in 2024, seniors have the 25th hour. This is on Wednesday period 1. This timetable slot is reserved for year-level assemblies, NZQA information, university visits and other activities. Previously these activities would occur during curriculum time. We are protecting teaching and learning time by scheduling these during the 25th hour.

Some of the 25th-hour activities are compulsory (like the assemblies and NZQA ones) and others activities like university sessions are optional. We expect attendance at the compulsory events.

At the start of each term, students receive a document outlining all compulsory and optional activities during the 25th period. The link is also available on the Te Pūriki student newsletter. On student timetables this is shown as Y11/Y12/Y13 hui. Please note that the 25th period starts at 9:20, so there is still a late start for students.
