SMT - Ave Wilson - Important Dates for 2024

At WGC our reporting system consists of formative feedback that parents and students can access via My Portal (formerly Parent Portal). Teachers will enter assessment results into Kamar soon after assessment has been completed, this can be accompanied with a comment, but does not have to have a comment. Two times per year teachers will provide feedback/feed forward comments to students. These can be in a brief sentence or bullet-pointed. The idea is that parents are able to access our comments live which will be more immediate and focused. These comments are not pastoral in nature and should succinctly focus on how the students can improve as they move forward. The piece of work commented on does not have to be a large summative assessment. It could be an in-class task that the students have completed. HODs will establish guidelines around this and the type of feedback/forward that they want teachers to input.

Subject overview reports will show student attendance & lates. (These two are no longer a requirement for Te Tohu Raukura)

If you have pastoral issues you wish to raise with parents/caregivers please email them. Each term teachers will fill in effort grade reports but there is only a need for a brief comment here if the student is of concern in your class. These will go out each term. In Term 4 a PDF summary of the comments and assessment results from the year is generated. Parents can access this through the My Portal.
