International Director, Maria Walker, was delighted to meet up with our Vietnamese alumna, Anh Nguyen, on a tour of the University of Canterbury recently.

Anh, who studied at WGC from 2017 to 2019, won a $20,000 University of Canterbury scholarship at the end of 2019.  She is from Hanoi and is making the most of her scholarship, studying Mathematics and Economics.  

She also won the Wellington International Student Award for Academic Excellence in November 2019, the only school student to do so that year.

Anh reflected on the good people, friends and passionate teachers at Wellington GIrls' College who had helped make her who she is now.

We wish her luck for the rest of her studies.
