Wellington Girls' College —

Celebrating the success of Wellington Girls' College students!

Recently WGC students Lili Boyer Shadbolt, Billie Leslie Bird, Madison Homewood, and Sarah Kate Gestro, represented Wellington Girls College in the Artistic Swimming North Island Championship.

Lili, Billie, Madison, and Sarah Kate, were representing both their school and their club, Wellington Synchro, at this competition which was held at Wellington Regional Aquatic Centre over the weekend of the 16-18 June.

Sascha Fox, who is currently on leave from WGC, whilst training with the AquaFerns, New Zealand’s premier Artistic Swimming squad, also participated in the North Island Competition. Sascha and the AquaFerns were there to display their routines prior to their departure to Japan for the World Championships.

We are very proud to share the following successes:

  • Madison placed first in the schools sports Aquarina Solo category
  • Madison and Sarah Kate placed first in the schools sports Aquarina duet category
  • Lili and Billie placed first in the school sports youth duet (13-15yrs)
