WGC currently has 22 international students in our homestay programme. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our experienced homestay families for their continuous support, assisting us to look after our international students outside school hours and contributing to the success of WGC homestay programme. 

The number of international students at our College will increase noticeably in Term 3. The majority of our homestay students are here for the long term which means that they are looking to complete their high school education at Wellington Girls’ before going to university, either locally or overseas. A small number of students are here between one to four terms. Our long term students are predominantly from China, Thailand, Vietnam and Korea while those from Japan, Germany, and other parts of Europe, are usually here for a shorter term. We are always looking for new homestay families, especially those from our wonderful school community. 

We welcome any form of family who is responsible and able to provide a caring home environment for these young people.
