Y11 Transition to NCEA Day

6 November

Y11s will be participating in a series of workshops at WGC to help prepare them for 2025. 


You can come to school in non-uniform and, in your wānanga 

groups, you will complete  the following workshops:


  • How does NCEA work?

  • How to learn, take notes and study effectively

  • How to organise internal assessments

  • How to research correctly and use AI at WGC

  • How to write a CV and get a part-time job

The day will start at 9:20 am (period 1) and finish at the normal time.

Zonta Young Women in Leadership Award

The Zonta Young Women in Leadership (YWIL) Award is a Zonta International programme funded by contributions to the Zonta Foundation for Women. Zonta International is a leading global organization of individuals working to build a better world for women and girls.

The aim of the Zonta Young Women in Leadership Award is to encourage young women to participate in leadership positions by recognizing the candidate’s commitment to the volunteer sector, evidence of volunteer leadership achievements and a dedication to building a better world for women and girls through service and advocacy. It encourages them to continue their participation in public and political life.
