Our Maadi crew has just returned from Karapiro after six days of intense racing. Our team of 11 competed in 19 races and everyone rowed in at least one final – a huge achievement given there were 2,236 competitors from 116 schools across New Zealand.

Our rowers, coxswains and coaches all showed incredible resilience and determination and we are hugely proud of their achievements. A big thanks also to the parent volunteers, without them there would have been no Maadi for our crew.

Congratulations also to Phoebe Wall. Sophie Jones and Lucy Turnbull for being selected to attend the U18 North vs South trial, which will be held at Lake Karapiro from 13-15 April. Phoebe is one of three female coxswains and Sophie and Lucy are two of the 18 rowers invited to attend. We wish them all the best for the trial!

It’s not too late to sign up for the 2005/26 season starting in September.  Registrations are open to all student in years 9-12. For those that are interested, please sign up via the WGC sports registration form.
