Daily attendance must be taken each period by all subject teachers by law and the school has an obligation to report on attendance to the Ministry. This is done via our student management system KAMAR.

• All students must sign in and out of school – parents need to contact the school if an appointment is planned

• Inform students that the school must be contacted via the School App (SchoolAppsNZ), email or phone the absence line if they are not going to be at school.

• Students should be aware that every missed lesson must be explained.

• Ensure students understand consequences will follow for all and any absences not legitimately excused.

Wānanga Teachers will receive an email at the beginning of each week  that must be followed through with their students and cleared weekly. This helps to ensure the information we have is accurate and up to date.
