We wish to thank everyone who have paid their donation and voluntary contributions for this year. The donations and voluntary contributions qualify for a donation rebate of 33% from the Inland Revenue. We will email you the 'official donation receipt' during the first week of April 2023.

Please note that donations and voluntary contributions are voluntary and classed as a donation. If you are unable to pay these, nothing is ever withheld from a student. Students receive all their workbooks, materials and attend the trips associated with the voluntary contribution costs. Any payments for donations and voluntary contributions received after 1 April 2023 will automatically go into the tax year 2023/2024. If you would like us to email you the official donation receipt for prior years, please email finance@wgc.school.nz and we will be able to email this to you.

Payment Methods

We now have several options available to pay student's accounts. Our preferred method of payment is direct internet banking to the school as this doesn't incur any additional costs to you or the school.

Methods of Payment
Internet Banking - 03-0518-0027013-02 or 002 - Wellington Girls College
Ref1=student's name and Ref2=What you are paying for, i.e. Yr9Dance, Yr13 Ball, volcon/don, etc.

Credit Card - You can phone us with your credit card details and we can process the payment for you and this is slightly cheaper than paying through the Kamar portal and incurs a 1.8% merchant fee instead of 2.31% on top of what you are paying. Online Kamar Parent Portal - Account to Account (no charge) or Credit Card (incurs 2.31% merchant fee on top of what you are paying)
You can now have the option to pay student's account through the Kamar portal. Please note that not all charges will be displayed, i.e. early sports registrations, balls, dances, etc. in these instances, you will need to pay by internet banking or eftpos through the office.

• Financial Tab at top of screen

• Click on the items you wish to pay or you can overwrite the amount shown for what you would like to pay

• Select Method of payment

Either click on:

• Account to Account' for online banking - no charge associated with this

• or 'Creditcard/DPS payments - incurs a 2.31% merchant fee charge on top of what you are paying

• then follow the screen promp

Eftpos at Office - Eftpos for minor payments only which are not shown on student's accounts in Kamar. Please note that the student office no longer accept credit card payments - only eftpos.

Donation for Non Uniform Days - Donation goes to Breast Cancer Foundation
You will notice a donation this year for $8 which covers the non uniform days throughout the year. This is a donation and the donation is passed onto our school charity. Last year this was Wellington Children's Hospital and we were able to pass onto them $12,247.33, which included this donation plus fundraising that the students had undertaken over the year. This will cover non uniform days and other events throughout the year.

If you log onto the parent Kamar Portal, under the financial tab, this will show what has been paid and what is currently owing. At the top of the screen it will show what is owing on the student's account and if you scroll to the bottom of the screen, you can view all your receipts, as well as download receipts to print off. Please note that you are unable to download the official Tax Donation Certificate receipt required by the Inland Revenue from the Kamar Portal. If you would like a Tax Donation Certificate receipt for donations paid for a particular tax year, please email me and I will email you an official Tax Donation Certificate receipt for your donation rebate.
