While other students were sitting their exams a small group of us from Germany and Italy enjoyed sightseeing around Taupo and Rotorua.

The mountains were beautiful the day we drove up and then it was amazing to see hot springs and mud pools - although the smell is not so great!  The highlight for all of us was a jet boat ride on the Waikato River and seeing Hobbit scenery.   We really enjoyed visiting another part of New Zealand and had a great time.
