NON-CONTACT TIME (Teaching Staff)

Wellington Girls' College - June 30, 2025

SMT - DVJ

Full-time teaching staff have 5 non-contacts per week. If you are leaving the school grounds for an appointment, please contact the relief phone and sign out at reception or using the link on the WGC app. Even if you just pop out for 5 minutes at any time other than lunchtime you must sign out. This is a requirement for safety purposes.

Teaching staff may nominate one of their non-contact periods  to arrive late or leave early, or do an activity offsite to support your hauora. This will be allocated on your timetable as Hauora Time. This will be collected at the start each year or from new staff when they are starting at the College.

If you choose to have your Hauora Time as period 5 on a Monday or period 1 on a Wednesday you must still be present at all meetings in the meeting cycle.

If you are under timetabled you will be used for internal relief cover. If you are overloaded you will be compensated and the Principal will make contact with you.
