At the meeting on 30 August, in a move that had been signalled all year, Nicola Campbell, the BOT Chair stood down as Chair and was replaced by Sarah Boyd.

Nicola’s daughter finished Year 13 last year, but she agreed to stay in the role until the Education Review Office (ERO) had visited and the 2017 final accounts had been approved.  Both of these have now been wrapped up and she wanted the new Chair to have the pleasure of the end of year events next term.  Nicola will remain on the Board until the elections in 2019.

Sarah, who was elected unopposed, has two daughters at WGC, one in Year 13 and one in Year 11.

We have also welcomed two other new members this year, Ioe Misa and Hinerangi Barr.
