OUR FACILITIES

We are very short of space and on 28 February 2019, the Minister of Education announced that the school will receive $25 million to create the equivalent of 16 more classrooms and more space for staff and resource areas. Subsequent investigation through the design phase meant a decision was made to replace the Tower block and in 2021 we were told the Hall also needed to be demolished. While this will eventually result in new facilities for Science, Social sciences, Learning Services, our Wellbeing team, Careers and the senior staff, we are currently operating in 25 classrooms in a temporary village on the field and Deans, senior staff and careers are all working out of Portacoms. The ultimate rebuild is very exciting and we will share the designs with the community once we get the funding confirmed.

The College is close to many of Wellington city’s wonderful resources - Te Papa, National Library, Wellington City Library, Parliament, Victoria and Massey Universities, City & Sea Museum, the harbour, local businesses, art galleries, Pipitea Marae and the Westpac Stadium and we take advantage of our proximity to these resources.
