Kānuka and Kahikatea Paper Craft Portraits
This term in Art we have been learning how to create all things in paper craft. From corner bookmarks to self portraits of ourselves.
When creating the 3D portrait each child needed to place and glue the pre-cut square face, a curled nose, a pair of eyes, some bright pink lips, two ears to their backing paper.
They then needed to choose a colour for their hair and a style in which to cut it. We have hair ranging from straight, wavy and spiky.
Lastly each child decided which colour shirt they wanted their portrait to wear and if it would be a v-neck or curved.
There were many steps to this piece of art and it took us 2 sessions to finish them. But WOW! Don’t they look fantastic!
