Zone Athletics
Thursday 5th November at Ngā Puna Wai.
What an amazing effort all 15 children showed who represented Addington Te Kura Taumatua at the Zones. It was a very hot and windy day but noone let that stop them from showing all their ABCs. We are very proud of each and every one of you.
Below is the events the children competed in and any results.
Year 5 Girls:
Isabella Pombo competed in the 60m sprint - she made it through to the semi finals.
Pranisha Chhetri competed in the shotput.
Shakaia Fox competed in the shotput - she came 2nd.
Year 6 Girls
Ngahina Smith competed in the 60m sprint.
Year 8 Girls
Stella Crawford competed in the shotput - she came 1st.
Year 5 Boys
Blake Baker competed in the long jump, he competed in the shot put and he competed in the 60m sprints - he made it through to the semi finals.
Brooklyn Newth competed in the high jump - he came 1st, he competed in the long jump and he competed in the long distance 1000m - he came 3rd.
Jayden Patuwai-Lidget competed in both the discus and shotput.
Atlantis Woo competed in the discus.
Year 6 Boys
Jenish Kadariya competed in the long jump and the 80m sprints - he made it through to the semi finals.
Nimoi Helu competed in both the discus and high jump. He also competed in 60m sprints - he made it through to the semi finals.
Rupeni Qoroya competed in the discus - he came 3rd, he competed in the high jump and he competed in the 80m sprints - he came 1st.
Calix Panganiban competed in the high jump and he competed in the 60m sprints - he made it through to the semi finals.
Riccardo Poihipi competed in the discus.
Ruben Roxas competed in the shot put.
These amazing results should mean that we will have several children go on to represent Addington Te Kura Taumatua at Central Athletics on Wednesday 2nd December. We will keep our eye out for the notification to come through.
