Drop offs and Pick Ups

Donna Buchanan —

We have had a number of parents ask about our arrangements for these times as we move into Alert Level 2. It is a requirement that we keep a contact register of everyone who enters the grounds

In the mornings we have kids arriving in 'dribs and drabs'. We are encouraging dropping off at the gate. Please do not enter the grounds until 8.30am.I f your child needs support to come in you can bring them in observing social distancing with other adults and we will have to record your name at the gate. If you need to take them into the classroom your name will be again recorded on a contact register.

In the afternoons they all want to leave at once - so taking them out to the gates to meet families creates issues with distancing adults etc. The plan is then that teachers will have their students all ready to go with bags packed with all their belongings and potentially shoes on prior to 3pm. Again if you need to come on the grounds we will have to record your name at the gate. Please do not enter the grounds until 2.45pm. We ask that parents who have come into the grounds to collect their children wait on the basketball courts or down in front of the hall - on the other side of the little brown fence - not out the front of Ngahere, again observing adult social distancing. So students can exit their room and walk over to their parent.
