Filipino Breakfast: A Cultural Feast

Sheryn Follero —

Exploring the Philippine breakfast traditions at was educational and heartwarming. Thank you to all families involved!

Celebrating the Filipino breakfast this week at our kura was a joyful experience! The diverse spread of lumpia, tapa, longanisa, rice, fried eggs, and Pan de sal was a feast for both the stomach and the soul. Families coming together to share their traditional foods, like eating kamayan style(with our hands), created a special bonding moment for children and adults alike.

It was heartwarming to see teachers and families leaving with full tummies and even fuller hearts at the end of term. Food truly has the power to connect and bring people closer.

The upcoming celebration of Philippine Independence Day on June 13 promises to be another exciting event where we can come together, learn, and appreciate the rich culture and history of the Philippines.

Thank you to all the families who contributed to the Filipino breakfast. Also a big thank you to Ginang Chucky and Ginang Kristina for being our Pinay Champions. We are all looking forward to more moments of learning, sharing, and celebration in the future!
