Cardboard Picasso Art
Rata and Karamu working with Whaea Bridget and Whaea Glenys.
Wow what fun Whaea Glenys and myself had working with Rata and Karamu last Friday to create Picasso inspired cardboard faces. There were a lot of instructions that had to be followed. All the children worked incredibly hard to work through the stages step by step. They listened well, shared equipment, showed their amazing creativity, showed resilience, used their manners and were a real joy to work with. Many of the children worked through lunch with me to either continue on their faces or help clean up. Some children didn't quite get all their facial features on due to other things that happen on a Friday so they got those finished with Whaea Sam and Whaea Lyn during the week. I know both teachers have displayed them on their walls in their respective teaching spaces. Five lovely children have loaned me their work to use as exemplars in the senior school.
The results of their faces speak for themselves - see the pictures below.
