As we come to the end of the year, we farewell valued members of our staff who are moving on to new opportunities. We thank them for the dedication and care they have shown our tamariki and community. Your contributions have truly reflected our school values, and we wish you every success and happiness in the future. You will always be part of our school whānau, and we hope you remember to live our Addington ABCs values with you wherever you go.

Mary Murphy is off to explore the world with her partner and is hoping to teach in an International School
Beccy Harding is off to see the world with her partner too
Josh Cairns is off to pursue relief teaching as an opportunity to broaden his experience and grow in the early stages of his teaching career
Kate Straker has a new full time teaching posiiton
Lisa Heald will be exploring and expanding her coaching adn mentoring business
Harry Kitson has a new full time teaching job at Spreydon School
Jenny Marie Evans has a new full time teaching job at Haeata
Heather Bentall will be working for the Christchurch City Chorus in 2025
Kendall Skelton has new release teacher contracts at Beckenham and Cashmere in 2025
As we look ahead to a new year, we are excited about welcoming the newest members of our school whānau. Each of them brings strengths and qualities that match with our school values, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact they will have on our tamariki and community.

Charlotte Wilson is joining us as the Senior Team Leader. She is moving back to Christchurch from Auckland to join our team
Shari Hedge is also moving back home to join us from Nelson
Andrea Harrison is joining the teaching team in Harakeke. She has been teaching in Lincoln
Matt Gordon is joining us for his first teaching role
Annabelle Cloudsley is joining the teaching team. She has been teaching in West Melton
Brooke Ross is joining us for her first teaching role
Samantha Jerao is joining us for her first teaching role
Angela White is joining us for her first full time teaching role
Ally Palmer is joining us for her first teaching role - sharing a classroom with Katy Craib who has reduced her days at work. Katy will work Monday, Tuesday, Thursday (Leadership Day) and Friday. So Ally will be the classroom teacher on Wednesday and Thursday
Fiona Hoggan will be joining us 2 days a week releasing our beginning teachers
Stephanie Thompson will be doing 2 days release in the Senior Team
Lindsey Thoroughgood will be joining us releasing Alanna on a Thursday
Amber Leung will be joining us releasing Nicole on a Thursday
We are excited to share that some of our current staff will be returning in new roles in 2025. These changes reflect their dedication to growth and their ongoing commitment to our school values and community. We look forward to seeing them bring fresh perspectives and energy to their new positions as we continue to support our tamariki together.
Amber Doyle will be joining us for one day a week in a release teacher role while she is on extended maternity leave for all of 2025
Alanna Rush will stay as Junior Team Leader for all of 2025 while Amber is on leave
Beth Jolly will be back for Term 1 doing 4 days a week covering teachers while they have their CRT
Angela Willans will be back 1 day a week in Harakeke
Emily Russell will be completing her first year of on the job teaching training along side Alanna
Liam Makinson will be completing his year of on the job teaching training along side Nicole
Sarah Lees will be back with us 4 days a week in our Nurture space and as a release teacher
Marie McHugh will be back again this year in her release teacher position 3 days a week in the junior team
Kate Norman who joined the team in a maternity position this year has been successful in winning a permanent position here with us
Sheryn Follero will be fully released as our ESoL Co-Ordinator /Teacher
