Ferrymead Heritage Park Visit

The Waonui and Ngahere Teams are attending Ferrymead Heritage Park this term. This term our deep learning inquiry is about Our Stories and what shapes Our Culture. As part of this inquiry, we will be stepping back in time to the 1900’s and experiencing how life was back then. We will participate in the following activities - bakery, school, general store and house work.

Tuesday 3rd March: Kanuka, Kahikatea and Tawai

Wednesday 4th March: Tī Kōuka, Mahoe, Kokaha and Totara

Thursday 5th March: Tarata, Rimu and Horoeka

We will be leaving school at 9am and return by 2:30pm. Please make sure you are at school by 8:30am to allow time to be checked off the roll and on the bus by 9am.

Please complete the permission and parent help form for this trip.

On the day please ensure your child has:

• a water bottle

• a good sized morning tea and lunch

• their school uniform including a polar fleece jacket

• a rain jacket

• comfortable footwear

• sunhat and sunscreen

• medication, if required

Correct full school uniform must be worn, this includes school polar fleece. If your child doesn’t have the correct school uniform please talk with your child’s teacher. Your child must be at school on time on the day of the trip. If your child is late and misses the bus they will work in another class for the day.
