Year 9 Environmental Science students made food webs real by building string models. Each person represented one living organism in a coral reef. The pieces of string model some of the intricate links between them. All life in the reef is interdependent.

Year 9 students learnt about New Zealand’s marine environment this week using virtual reality headsets. Marine biologists from the Sir Peter Blake Trust engaged students with our precious underwater ecosystems and explained how they can be protected and rejuvenated.
