Albet Lockie only left Albany Senior High School in May this year, but she still carries the ASHS flag all the way to Parliament.

This week, representing Chlöe Swarbrick in Youth Parliament, Albet has been sharing their story and calling on our House to recognise VOYCE - Whakarongo Mai’s six demands for rangatahi in state care. Albet managed a unanimously supported motion, putting “grown up” Parliament on notice. Albet wanted to participate in Youth Parliament 2022 because they are passionate about advocacy and system change. Chlöe has enjoyed getting to know Albet’s advocacy and getting to share all sides of Auckland Central with Albet.
