Have you encouraged your child to borrow a book for the holiday period?

Summer reading - it’s important. Research shows that students who read four or more books over the summer are better prepared for the coming school year and do not go down the ‘summer slide’ - the loss of reading and learning skills during the summer break.

Pupils returning to AJHS in 2025 may borrow up to 15 library books over the summer holidays. Just grab a permission slip from the library, the student desk, or download it here.

Return the signed permission slip to the library by November 27th. Select your books (or ask for a mystery pack) and collect after Monday 2nd December. It’s that easy.
